Eye drop test could predict best dry eye treatment
NCT ID NCT04125134
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple saltwater eye drop test could predict which dry eye patients would get the most relief from standard artificial tear treatments. Researchers tested 36 patients with dry eye disease, dividing them based on their response to the initial test. All participants used artificial tears for four weeks while researchers measured changes in their symptoms and eye health. The goal was to help doctors better match treatments to individual patients.
