Tiny gel plug tested to stop dry eye discomfort after cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT07155057

Summary

This study is testing a small, dissolvable gel plug placed in the eye's tear duct to help manage dry eye disease in people who are also having cataract surgery. The goal is to see if the plug helps keep the eye's surface moist and comfortable for longer after blinking. About 60 participants will have the gel placed before their surgery and be followed for several months to check their eye comfort and tear quality.
