New hope for ITP patients: study tests drug switch after first treatment fails

Summary
This study looks at 112 people with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) whose platelet counts didn't improve after standard treatment with rhTPO. After a two-week break, half will get a higher dose of rhTPO and half will switch to a different drug called eltrombopag. The goal is to see which approach works better at raising platelet levels and preventing bleeding over six weeks.
