Race against fever: new hope for kids with untreatable typhoid?
NCT ID NCT07445282
Summary
This study tested two antibiotic treatments for young children with a severe, hard-to-treat form of typhoid fever. Researchers compared giving one strong antibiotic alone versus combining it with a second antibiotic. They measured which treatment helped children's fevers break faster and monitored them for safety during their hospital stay.
