Doctors probe how life support alters Kids' drug doses
NCT ID NCT03593408
Summary
This study aims to understand how four common sedatives and painkillers behave in the bodies of children on ECMO, a form of heart-lung life support. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood of up to 20 pediatric patients receiving these medications. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help doctors better predict and manage drug dosing for critically ill children on this complex support system.
