Scientists test new skin Drug's hidden effects on birth control and blood thinners

NCT ID NCT07190430

Summary

This early-stage study aims to understand how an experimental atopic dermatitis (eczema) medication called PF-08049820 affects how the body processes three common drugs: birth control pills, a sedative (midazolam), and a blood thinner (dabigatran). Researchers will enroll 16 healthy adult women to first take each common drug alone, then take them alongside the new medication to measure any changes. The goal is to gather safety information to help design future studies, not to treat eczema in this trial.
