Study reveals hidden risks of mixing Beta-Blockers and Anti-Inflammatories
NCT ID NCT06566794
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how two common drugs—carvedilol (for heart conditions) and diclofenac (a painkiller)—change the way the body processes other medications. Twelve healthy volunteers took a mix of test drugs with either carvedilol, diclofenac, or a placebo. The goal was to see if these drugs slow down key liver enzymes, which could lead to dangerous drug interactions. The results will help doctors prescribe safer combinations.
