First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested a combination treatment for people with advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (a type of bile duct cancer) whose cancer continued to grow after standard chemotherapy. The treatment combined a targeted drug (apatinib), an immunotherapy (PD-1 antibody), and a procedure that delivers chemotherapy directly to the liver tumor using tiny beads. The goal was to see if this approach could shrink tumors or slow cancer growth. The study enrolled 20 adults aged 18 to 80 with confirmed disease that had progressed after first-line chemo.
