New balloon treatment aims to keep urethras open longer
NCT ID NCT03499964
Summary
This study is testing a special balloon coated with medication to treat recurring urethral strictures in men. The balloon is inflated inside the narrowed urethra to open it and deliver a drug intended to help keep it open longer. Researchers are comparing this new approach to standard dilation treatment to see if it reduces the need for repeat procedures.
