Can new driver training stop crashes before they happen?
NCT ID NCT06146634
Summary
This study is testing whether special training for new drivers can help prevent car crashes. Researchers are comparing new hazard perception and attention maintenance lessons against standard driver education. They will track 8,000 new drivers in Washington State for over a year using a smartphone app to see if the new training leads to safer driving and fewer crashes.
