First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at how three different dressings change the pH of skin in simulated skin folds. Forty healthy adults will wear the dressings on their forearms for about 24 hours. Researchers will measure skin pH and hydration to see which dressing is gentlest on the skin.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Dressings (Sorbact® Ribbon, Sorbact® Compress, InterDry®)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help choose dressings that keep skin healthier in folds, potentially reducing irritation and infections.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early study in healthy people, not patients. Results may not apply to real wounds or people with skin conditions.
