New hope for kids with severe epilepsy: groundbreaking trial targets root cause

Summary
This study is testing an investigational medicine called zorevunersen (STK-001) for children and adolescents with Dravet syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy. The goal is to see if the medicine can safely reduce the number of major seizures and improve behavior, thinking, and quality of life. It is a Phase 3 trial, meaning it's in a late stage of testing, and participants are randomly assigned to receive either the real medicine or a sham procedure.
