New device offers hope for High-Risk patients with leaky heart valves

NCT ID NCT05927441

Summary

This study is testing a new device called the DragonFly System to repair a leaky mitral valve in the heart without major open-heart surgery. It is for adults with severe, symptomatic valve leakage who are at high risk for traditional surgery or whose symptoms persist despite other treatments. The goal is to see if this less invasive procedure is safe and effective at controlling the valve problem and improving patient outcomes over five years.
