New heart valve clip aims to keep patients out of hospital
NCT ID NCT07243158
Summary
This study is testing a new device called the DragonFly clip to treat a leaky heart valve in people with heart failure. About 148 participants who still have symptoms despite taking the best available medications will be randomly assigned to either receive the clip procedure or continue with medications alone. The main goal is to see if the clip is safe and can help patients live longer, avoid hospital stays for heart failure, feel better, and have less valve leakage after one year.
