Can a doula ease the heartache for NICU parents?

NCT ID NCT07437131

Summary

This study aims to see if pairing families who have a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a community doula helps reduce parental stress, anxiety, and depression. Researchers will compare stress levels in about 60 families who receive weekly doula support for six weeks against families who receive standard hospital care. The goal is to find new ways to support parents during a very difficult time.
