Summary

This study tested a new catheter device designed to help hospitalized patients with sudden, severe heart failure. It was for people whose bodies were holding too much fluid and weren't responding well to standard intravenous water pills (diuretics). The research aimed to see if using this catheter to remove fluid was safe and effective for these patients.
