First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether using color Doppler ultrasound to guide injections into the shoulder can provide faster and longer-lasting pain relief for people with calcific tendinitis. About 100 adults with chronic shoulder pain and calcium deposits will receive an ultrasound-guided injection, and researchers will track how many need a second injection within a short time. The goal is to see if this imaging technique helps reduce pain and avoid repeat procedures.
