Summary

This study tests whether using Doppler ultrasound to detect inflammation around calcium deposits in the shoulder can improve the results of a guided injection. 100 adults with chronic shoulder pain and calcific tendinitis will receive an ultrasound-guided injection, with or without Doppler imaging. The goal is to see if the Doppler approach reduces pain more quickly and lowers the chance of needing a second injection.
