Eye doppler test may spot dangerous brain pressure
NCT ID NCT05891678
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special ultrasound of the eye's main artery can help doctors diagnose increased pressure inside the skull. Researchers measured blood flow in the eye's central retinal artery in 66 patients with stroke or traumatic brain injury. The goal was to see if changes in blood flow patterns could signal high brain pressure without needing more invasive tests.
