Can a cuddly toy calm a Child's surgery fears?

NCT ID NCT07403773

Summary

This study is looking at whether giving a doll to a child before surgery can help reduce their anxiety and confusion after waking up from anesthesia. Researchers will compare three groups of 3-7 year old girls having tonsil or adenoid surgery: those with their own doll, those with a hospital doll, and those with no doll. They will measure anxiety levels and stress hormones before surgery, and confusion levels after surgery, to see if the dolls make a difference.
