NCT ID NCT04659850
First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how chemicals called AGEs, found in processed foods like whey protein shakes, affect metabolism and memory. Twenty-four healthy adults (young and older) drank a milkshake with either high or low AGEs and fat. Researchers measured blood markers and cognitive performance to see if AGEs have an immediate impact. The goal is to understand, not treat, these effects.
