Do your new teeth wander? scientists scan for secret implant shifts

NCT ID NCT07297147

Summary

This study aims to find out if dental implants move slightly during the healing period before a permanent crown is attached. Researchers will enroll 100 adults getting a single implant and use special 3D scans taken right after surgery and again 3-4 months later to measure any tiny shifts. The goal is to understand what factors, like bite force or bone quality, might influence this movement to help improve future implant procedures.
