Can your DNA stop you from falling? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07216846

Summary

This study is testing whether using a person's genetic information (from a simple cheek swab) can help doctors prescribe safer medications and prevent harmful side effects, especially falls, in older adults. Researchers will compare two groups: one where doctors use the DNA results to guide prescriptions, and another where they use standard care. The goal is to see if this personalized approach reduces falls, emergency visits, and other medication-related problems over six months.
