DNA check could prevent dangerous falls in seniors on multiple meds

Summary
This study looks at whether using a person's DNA to choose medications can reduce side effects and falls in older adults who take five or more drugs. About 1,000 people over 65 who have had a fall will provide a cheek swab for DNA analysis. Half of the doctors will get the DNA results to guide prescriptions, while the other half will provide usual care. Participants will be followed for 6 months to track falls, medication changes, and any hospital visits.
