First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether applying a chemical called dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to aged tooth surfaces before placing a filling helps the filling stick better and reduces tiny gaps. Thirty adults aged 50 to 75 with non-cavity tooth lesions at the gum line are being observed. The goal is to see if this pretreatment improves the long-term success of dental repairs.
