New drug combo tested in fight against advanced stomach cancer

Summary
This study tested whether adding an experimental drug called DKN-01 to a standard immunotherapy (tislelizumab) and chemotherapy could better control advanced stomach or gastroesophageal cancer. It involved about 247 adults whose cancer could not be removed by surgery. The main goals were to see if the combination was safe and if it could slow the cancer's progression compared to standard treatment alone. The trial was terminated early.
