New targeted drug trial offers hope for untreated advanced lung cancer patients

Summary

This study is testing a new targeted drug called divarasib, given alone or with other cancer therapies, for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have a specific genetic change called KRAS G12C and have not yet received any treatment for their advanced disease. The main goals are to find a safe and effective dose and to see how well the drug works at controlling the cancer. The study will enroll about 320 participants.
