Researchers investigate why patients skip critical heart failure pills
NCT ID NCT05167968
Summary
This study aimed to understand how consistently patients with a serious lung artery disease take their prescribed water pills (diuretics). Researchers followed 227 patients for a year to measure how often they took their medication and what factors made them miss doses. They also checked whether patients who skipped pills were more likely to have their condition worsen or need emergency hospital care.
