Experimental treatment tested for deadly childhood brain cancer

NCT ID NCT02742883

Summary

This study is testing whether Antineoplaston therapy can help control DIPG, a rare and aggressive brainstem tumor that currently has very limited treatment options. The trial is designed for children and adults with DIPG, including those who have tried standard treatments and those newly diagnosed. Researchers will measure whether the treatment shrinks tumors and improves survival, but the study is currently suspended with only one participant enrolled.
