First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a special laser (810 nm diode) during repeat root canal treatment helps the bone around the tooth heal better. About 40 adults who need a second root canal on a single-root tooth will get either standard cleaning or standard cleaning plus laser disinfection. The main goal is to see if the laser leads to better healing of the infection site after one year.
