Laser gum treatment shows promise in new study
NCT ID NCT06719674
First seen May 16, 2026 ยท Last updated May 16, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether using a diode laser along with standard deep cleaning helps people with gum disease (periodontitis). Forty adults with at least three deep gum pockets will receive either standard cleaning alone or cleaning plus laser. Researchers will measure pocket depth reduction and check saliva for inflammation markers. The goal is to see if the laser leads to better gum healing than cleaning alone.
