Virtual reality meets nursing: new study tests digital twin training for bedsores
NCT ID NCT07310160
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a new mixed reality simulation, which combines digital twins and touch feedback, can help nursing students learn how to manage pressure injuries (bedsores) better than traditional high-fidelity simulations. About 130 second-year nursing students will be split into two groups and tested on their knowledge and skills. The goal is to improve education and, in the long run, reduce pressure injury rates in patients.
