New app aims to ease mental struggles after ICU stays

Summary
This study tests a digital platform called ICURA to help ICU survivors and their families manage emotional and cognitive problems that often occur after intensive care. About 360 adults who were in the ICU will either use the app or receive standard follow-up care. The goal is to see if the app improves quality of life and daily functioning during the first year after leaving the hospital.
