Phone app aims to fix 'Brain-Muscle Disconnect' after knee surgery
NCT ID NCT07030764
Summary
This study is testing if adding a smartphone app to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after ACL knee surgery. The app provides guided exercises at home, specifically targeting a common problem where the brain struggles to activate the thigh muscle after injury. Researchers will compare recovery in patients using the app plus standard therapy against those using standard therapy alone.
