Smartphone rehab tested to help COPD patients breathe and move better
NCT ID NCT06582082
Summary
This study tested whether adding digital health tools to standard pulmonary rehabilitation helps people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Sixty patients were split into two groups: one received remote rehab coaching via video calls and apps alongside usual care, while the other received only usual care. Researchers measured changes over 10 weeks in lung function, physical ability, thinking skills, and sleep quality.
