Can text messages and local helpers get more babies to the doctor on time?

NCT ID NCT06024317

Summary

This study aims to see if a community-based program using mobile phone reminders, education, and small incentives can help more babies in rural Tanzania get their recommended health checkups on time during their first year of life. It will compare outcomes for about 800 babies whose mothers receive this extra support from community health workers against those who receive standard care. The goal is to find practical, scalable ways to improve preventive healthcare for infants in low-resource settings.
