Digital escape room fails to boost test scores but wins over nursing students
NCT ID NCT07204899
Summary
This study tested whether a digital escape room game could teach nursing students how to manage a life-threatening condition called hypovolemic shock better than a traditional lecture. 55 third-year nursing students were split into two groups: one played the game, and the other attended a lecture. While the game didn't lead to higher test scores, students who played it reported much higher enjoyment, motivation, and felt it improved their critical thinking and decision-making skills in a safe, simulated environment.
