Texts vs. calls: the race to connect ER patients with virtual doctors
NCT ID NCT07447674
Summary
This study aims to reduce emergency room overcrowding by improving how patients connect with doctors after being sent home. It will test if sending text and email reminders, in addition to a phone call, helps patients contact a telemedicine team faster to discuss their lab results. The goal is to find the best communication method to ensure safe and timely follow-up care for low-risk patients.
