Eye doctors test digital camera to spot scarring
NCT ID NCT07458126
Summary
This study tested a new digital method to measure scarring in the eye after surgery for a condition called recurrent pterygium. Researchers used special eye photos and computer software to analyze the color and blood vessels in the scar tissue. The goal was to see if this digital tool provides a more consistent and objective way for doctors to assess healing and recurrence, compared to just looking with a microscope.
