NCT ID NCT05748639
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app providing therapy and support, used alongside a prescribed medication (naltrexone), helps adults with alcohol use disorder reduce their drinking more than standard medical care alone. About 242 participants were randomly assigned to use the app with medication or to receive usual care. The goal was to see if the combined digital and medication approach was more effective for reducing alcohol use and improving mental health and daily functioning.
