Phone app aims to ease the pain of borderline personality disorder

NCT ID NCT06601907

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app called 'alivis' could help people manage symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). About 470 adults with a BPD diagnosis were randomly assigned to either use the app alongside their usual care or to continue with usual care alone. The main goal was to see if using the app for three months led to a reduction in core BPD symptoms, anxiety, and depression, and improved daily functioning.
