Summary
This study tests whether eating a diet high in magnesium can prevent low blood magnesium levels in ovarian cancer patients receiving carboplatin chemotherapy. About 26 women with previously untreated ovarian cancer will follow a magnesium-rich diet for up to 6 cycles of treatment. The goal is to see if this simple dietary change can reduce the need for magnesium supplements or infusions.
