Can your gut bacteria predict if fiber will help cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT05906589
Summary
This study aims to understand how two common dietary fibers (psyllium and inulin) affect gut bacteria and inflammation in healthy adults over 60. Researchers want to learn why some people's bodies respond well to these fibers while others don't. The findings could help identify which cancer patients might benefit from fiber supplements to reduce side effects from pelvic radiotherapy.
