Could your body fat reveal your cancer risk?

NCT ID NCT01966081

Summary

This study aimed to understand if the types of fats people eat are linked to their risk of developing colorectal cancer. Researchers compared 551 patients aged 45 and older—some with newly diagnosed colon cancer and some without—by measuring specific fats in their body fat and blood cells. The goal was to find reliable markers in the body that could show a connection between diet and cancer risk.
