Could your diet be making your gum disease worse?
NCT ID NCT07462104
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between metabolic syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and blood sugar) and periodontitis (gum disease). Researchers want to see if eating a diet that promotes body-wide inflammation makes gum disease more likely or severe in people with metabolic syndrome. They will observe 100 adults with metabolic syndrome, checking their gum health and analyzing their diets to look for patterns.
