What's in your food? study tests for toxic metals in popular diets

NCT ID NCT07235332

Summary

This study aims to measure the levels of toxic metals like lead, mercury, and arsenic in the bodies of healthy adults who follow different diets. Researchers will recruit 250 people who have been on a vegetarian/vegan, omnivorous, or low-carb diet for at least a year. By analyzing blood, urine, and food samples, the study seeks to understand how our food choices might expose us to harmful metals and help inform better public health advice.
