Can a High-Fat diet tame uncontrollable seizures in kids?

NCT ID NCT07275125

Summary

This study is testing if a modified Atkins diet, a high-fat, low-carb eating plan, can help children whose epilepsy doesn't respond to medication. It will measure if the diet reduces how often and how long seizures last, and if it improves the child's thinking skills and overall quality of life. The study will include 40 children aged 1 to 18 who have already been on a similar diet for at least six months.
