Summary
This study tests whether a personalized diet program and exercise, alone or together, can help older adults with sarcopenic obesity—a condition where age-related muscle loss and excess body fat combine to raise risks for heart disease, disability, and early death. About 380 adults aged 65 and older will be assigned to one of four groups: diet plus exercise, exercise only, diet only, or health talks only. The goal is to see which approach best improves muscle strength, muscle mass, physical function, and body fat.
