NCT ID NCT07332403
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 ICU patients on breathing machines to see if ultrasound measurements of the diaphragm could predict successful removal of the breathing tube. Researchers measured diaphragm thickness and movement before a breathing trial. The goal was to find a safe, non-invasive way to help doctors decide when patients are ready to breathe on their own.
