Doctors track breathing muscle to predict oxygen problems after surgery

NCT ID NCT07332728

Summary

This study aims to understand how gallbladder surgery affects breathing muscles and oxygen levels afterward. Researchers will use ultrasound to measure diaphragm movement in 62 patients before and after their operation. By tracking these changes, they hope to learn why some patients develop low oxygen levels after surgery and potentially identify those at higher risk.
